We’re proud to welcome your four-legged friends to Zunzibar! Let’s keep it clean, kind, and “SHIT YEAH!” fun for everyone under one umbrella.
Patio Guidelines
- Keep pets leashed, well-behaved, and off tables or chairs.
- Clean up after your pets promptly, waste bags provided nearby.
- Pets allowed only in designated outdoor areas.
- Service animals are always welcome in all areas.
- Ensure pets are healthy and up to date on vaccinations (no proof required).
- Management reserves the right to ask guests to remove disruptive or aggressive pets.

Purpose
At Zunzibar, we’re passionate about creating a welcoming environment for all our fans — including our four-legged friends. This policy outlines our standards for allowing pets at Zunzibar locations while ensuring the safety, comfort, and cleanliness of all guests and team members.
1. General Policy
- Pet-Friendly Areas: Well-behaved, leashed pets are welcome in designated outdoor patio areas only. Pets are not permitted inside dining or bar areas, in compliance with local health regulations.
- Service Animals: Fully trained service animals, as defined by the ADA, are permitted in all areas where guests are normally allowed. Emotional support animals (ESAs) are not recognized as service animals under the ADA and must follow standard pet rules.
2. Guest Responsibilities
Guests bringing pets must:
- Keep pets on a leash or in a carrier at all times.
- Ensure pets are under control and well-behaved (no excessive barking, aggression, or disruptive behavior).
- Clean up after their pet immediately. Waste bags are provided in designated areas.
- Do not allow pets on furniture or tabletops.
- Ensure pets are up to date on vaccinations and in good health. Zunzibar does not require proof of vaccination but reserves the right to deny entry to visibly ill or aggressive animals.
3. Team Responsibilities
Team Members should:
- Politely inform guests of designated pet-friendly areas.
- Provide a water bowl and a “pet parking” area (where applicable).
- Address any issues with tact and professionalism, prioritizing guest and staff safety.
- Never attempt to physically handle a guest’s pet. If a situation feels unsafe, notify the Manager on Duty (MOD) immediately.
- Report any pet-related incidents to the MOD and follow the incident response procedure below.
4. Incident Response Procedure
In the event of a pet-related incident (such as a bite, scratch, or injury), the Manager on Duty (MOD) must:
- Ensure the safety of all guests and team members.
- Document the incident in an internal report, including witness statements when possible.
- Obtain the pet owner’s contact information for any necessary follow-up.
- Notify the appropriate corporate contact and local authorities if required by law.
5. Safety & Cleanliness
- Outdoor pet-friendly zones are cleaned and sanitized daily.
- If a pet causes damage or disruption, management reserves the right to ask the guest to remove the pet from the premises.
- Pets are not allowed in food preparation or service areas under any circumstances.
6. Liability Disclaimer
Owners are solely responsible for the behavior and actions of their pets. Zunzibar assumes no liability for injury or damage caused by pets.
7. Event & Marketing Exceptions
Special events such as “Yappy Hours” or Community Pet Days may allow expanded pet access with GM and corporate approval. Marketing teams should coordinate with operations for proper setup, sanitation, and communication.
8. Enforcement
Failure to comply with this policy may result in the guest being asked to leave the pet area. Zunzibar reserves the right to modify this policy at any time to ensure compliance with local ordinances and brand standards.
