SAVANNAH, GA (Nov. 10, 2025)  With the government shutdown creating uncertainty for families relying on SNAP benefits, 26X Restaurants is stepping up—and bringing friends along.

What began with Zunzi’s (Atlanta) and Zunzibar, the founding 26X brands, has now grown to include Toast All Day (Savannah), Bandana Burger (Savannah), and Handcraft Burgers & Brew (New York City). Together, these restaurants are joining Feeding America’s Next Billion Meals Challenge, a nationwide initiative led by Tony Robbins.

Throughout November, 26 cents will be added to every transaction at Zunzi’s, Zunzibar, Toast All Day, Bandana Burger restaurants, with donations sent weekly to Feeding America to support local communities in need. Each 26-cent donation is matched—making every transaction worth 52 cents, or the equivalent of five meals for families facing hunger.

Zunzibar and Zunzi’s will be offering service industry workers 50% off food. Workers can text “SERVICE” to 912-207-7551 to register for this discount.

At Handcraft Burgers & Brew in New York City, $1.04 will be donated to Feeding America’s Next Billion Meals Challenge for every purchase of the November Burger of the Month.

“When restaurants unite, we can make a massive difference,” said Chris Smith, founder and CEO of 26X Restaurants. “The service industry feeds America every day, and now we’re feeding America in a whole new way. This movement shows what’s possible when restaurants come together to give back.”

The movement was inspired by Tony Robbins’ personal story of receiving a Thanksgiving meal as a child—a moment that sparked his lifelong commitment to ending hunger through Feeding America’s Next Billion Meals Challenge.

According to Feeding America’s 2025 Hunger Report, more than 44 million people in the United States—1 in 7 Americans—struggle with food insecurity, including millions of service industry workers who help feed others for a living. Restaurant employees are among the most affected, with an estimated 20% of food service workers relying on SNAP or similar assistance programs.

“The restaurant industry is built on people with the biggest hearts and the hardest jobs,” added Smith. “Many of them are working double shifts and still wondering how they’ll feed their own families. We started this movement to say: we see you, and we’ve got you. When restaurants stand together, we can help close that gap—one meal, one guest, one community at a time.”
